Claire Caloren
Drawing on several decades of experience as a senior leader in the Canadian Public Service, Claire has enabled countless individuals and teams to achieve great heights of fulfillment and performance. As an Assistant Deputy Minister for many years, she led with courage and passion through major societal upheavals, most notably the covid 19 global pandemic, providing citizens with high-impact critical services such as employment insurance and worker safety and security. Claire is known for her energy and commitment to the human experience and revels in being a constructive disrupter of established ways of thinking, bringing a fresh and innovative perspective to both collective and individual challenges.
Claire is enthusiastic about working with people in leadership roles. Indeed, throughout her life and career, she has championed, mentored and coached managers and executives to create the best possible conditions for their own and their teams’ success. She proactively advanced the cause of middle managers and executives in Government, both in Headquarters and in different regions as one of the Federal Assistant Deputy Minister Champions for the National Managers Community and as Board Member (2019-2023) of the Association of Professional Executives of the Public Service of Canada.
She is a member of the International Coaching Federation, holds a certificate in Positive Intelligence Mastery (PQ – Mental Fitness) and is accredited as an Integral Professional Coach.
Claire is a lifelong lover of sports, nature and outdoor pursuits such as long-distance swimming, back-country skiing, hiking, canoeing, travelling. Artistic interests include photography, carving and creative writing.
A francophone and ardent defender of minority language rights, Claire is fluent in three languages (French, English, Spanish) and currently shares her time between Eastern Canada and British Columbia.
