Keith Rutman
Keith joins Pourquoi Pas Coaching International’s leadership team with more than 30 years of broad, general management experience across a variety of industries, including automotive, healthcare/pharmaceuticals, insurance, oil & gas, and retail. He has led strategy, operations, product management, marketing, and sales functions with a track record of improving operating and financial performance of P&Ls ranging from $1 million to $2 billion. Across all of these experiences, Keith has placed a priority on investing time and resources in people – including coaching, mentoring, and providing leadership development opportunities – to create high-performing individuals and teams.
In addition to founding KMR Business Solutions, LLC, to deliver services including business/executive coaching, strategy and innovation development, operational improvement, and interim executive leadership to growth-oriented companies, Keith has held several executive roles within both public and private companies. As a member of the global leadership team of a privately-held technology company, he turned around the financial performance of an acquired company, introduced cross-functional processes for scalability, and built a dedicated sales capability for profitable growth. Serving as Innovation Leader of a commercial insurance company, Keith built and launched an InsurTech start-up that was first-to-market in addressing the insurance needs of a rapidly emerging customer segment. Prior to that, he held multiple leadership roles at Allstate Insurance Company, including Division Chief Operating Officer and Interim President of Allstate Roadside Services, along with several P&L and functional leadership roles in Allstate’s Property & Casualty business. He spent the early years of his career as a management consultant to Fortune 500, regulated companies in the United States and Southeast Asia.
Outside of work, Keith is an active member of the Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation’s Board of Directors, guiding strategic planning, marketing, and implementation of near-and longer-term plans to fund research targeting the early detection of pancreatic cancer.
Keith earned a Master of Business Administration degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis. He currently resides in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois, with his wife, two sons, and the newest addition to the household, a “pandemic puppy” named Koda.
